Wellenreiter (‘wave rider’) is an asymmetrical triangular shawl, worked in garter stitch, from side to side.  Its waves are formed by short rows and its shell shaped edges are formed by increases and decreases.   Its size can be adjusted, since the pattern set can be repeated as desired.  Sample shown was knit using a mixture of yarns and yarn weights.  Catch a wave of your own using 4 balls of elann Impromptu or Meander!
