Vogue Knitting Tie Back Shell

BY CONNIE CHANG CHINCHIO

This beautiful summer top pattern is from Knit.1 – Spring/Summer 2009 and available for purchase from the Vogue Knitting website.  Perfectly feminine, it is knit from the ribbed tie band outward, with the leaf-lace pattern worked up for the bodice, while the stockinette stitch hemline is knit down for a graceful finish.  Our sample was knit in elann.com Coto-Merino (now discontinued) but this design would also make a fantastic project for elann’s Sonata or Luna yarns.
