BY KAREN BOURQUIN
Tybee, designed by Karen Bourquin and photographed for the Twist Collective by James Brittain, is an appealing sleeveless top teeming with feminine details. Picot edging adorns the hem, armholes and neckline, with bands of eyelet patterning running down the center front and back. An I-cord drawstring nips in the waist for a dressy, yet casual, cotton top that you’ll love to wear all summer long. When the warm weather ends, throw it on over a light blouse or t-shirt as a pretty vest. Suitable for intermediate knitters, this project is knit in one piece to the armholes and is intended to fit with 0-5cm/0-2″ negative ease.
Den-M-Nit washes and fades like your favorite pair of blue jeans and will shrink by 10-15% in length when dried in a clothes dryer. If your plan is to machine wash and dry your garment like a pair of jeans, just make a few adjustments to the length dimensions of your knitting – simply add 10-15% more rows for all length dimensions, and then shrink to fit.
