Top Down Trapeze Pullover

BY DIANE SOUCY for Knitting Pure and Simple

This popular A-line design was the top selling pattern of 2017 on Patternfish!  It features a simple boat neck, and is worked seamlessly from the top down, making it the perfect first sweater project, or a relaxing and satisfying knit for a more experienced knitter.  Using a DK or light worsted weight yarn, knit to a loose gauge of 18 sts to 10cm (4″), makes the sides of this  pullover drape gently – its sides are about 5 cm (2″) longer than its front and back, for a flowing, figure flattering fit.  The sample shown was knit in a now discontinued cotton/nylon yarn, and we thought it would be equally lovely in our elann.com Go Lightly Worsted cotton/acrylic blend (see link below) – Diane Soucy swatched with Go Lightly Worsted and agreed!
