Striped Bass Shawl

From dark depths it strikes,
for shining lure,
Dream of angler – Striped Bass.

Inspired by a pencil sketch by elann’s owner Ann Cannon-Brown, the Striped Bass Shawl uses creative construction and knitting techniques to achieve its strikingly contrasted pattern. Worked in three sections, the shawl begins with two identical bottom bands, which are then joined together in a mitred corner at the point, before the final step of picking up and working stitches in the resulting inner V.  It’s an engaging knit, resulting in a visually dynamic accessory piece!
