Stone Fence

BY THEA COLMAN

A classic Aran Fisherman Sweater, with simple textures, repeating motifs and some unexpected lace, Stone Fence is knit from the bottom up in the round, then split into front and back to be worked flat to the shoulders. Once shoulders are seamed, sleeves are worked seamlessly from the shoulder down and shaped with short rows.  Pattern is offered in a wide range of 10 sizes, with the modelled sweater as shown worn with 7.5-10cm/3-4″ of ease at bust.

The sample shown was knit in a hand dyed 100% wool, but would be a great value, and enjoy outstanding stitch definition, in one of the solid shades of our Freeport Aran!
