Secrets and Storms

BY HELEN KENNEDY

Secrets and Storms is a simple triangular shawl  that pairs a colorful variegated or long-printed yarn with a contrasting solid shade.  Knit sideways, mainly in garter stitch and finished with a tidy i-cord bind off,  it is worked with just one color at a time, and the clever use of slipped stitches creates fun dots to really make the colors pop!  The sample shown was knit in a fingering weight Merino yarn, but we can’t help but see the endless possibilities to be created with our elann.com Tarantella or Pippi Longcolors Lite paired with a solid shade of Wool Mate Fingering or Wagga Wagga Sock (links below).
