Nefertiti Scarf

BY KARIN BOLE

This scarf combines cable patterns that suggest the architecture of ancient Egypt and flow gently, fading away at the neck, into a sand-patterned background. Cabled mosaics, done with intarsia technique, in the traditional colors of a pharaoh’s jewelry, add some optional “pop” to the design.  Sample knit in (now discontinued) elann.com Peruvian Highland Wool, but is suitable for any worsted weight yarn.
