The beauty and complexity of ice crystals is translated into knitting in this multi-season shawl.  Worked from the bottom up, Isen starts with a deep ruffled border and is followed by a textured section, where embossed stitches outline geometric shapes, with optional sparkling beads reminiscent of ice crystals.  Simple reverse stockinette short rows (no wraps) shape the shawl into a crescent, which is finished with a beaded border.  A tidy I-cord bind off is worked last to reinforce the shawl’s top edge.

The designer’s sample was knit in 100% silk, but she shares our opinion that is would be equally lovely in one of the beautiful shades of our lustrous elann Luna.
