From Sara K. Hatmann’s book ‘Poetic Crochet’, the Dover pattern is available from Interweave and presents a unique take on filet crochet, featuring large eyelets, or “bubbles.” Worked sideways, the shawl is widened with stepped increases, then narrowed with short-rows.  Despite it’s intriguing patterning, it uses simple chain and double crochet stitches to create this beautiful crocheted shawl.

The sample shown was crocheted in a Rayon/Metallic blend and the designer agrees that our lustrous Rayon/Cotton blend Luna would work perfectly for this design.
