Coffee Shop Wrap

BY ALEXANDRA TAVEL

Cosy up with a cup of joe and this generously sized, triangle shawl, a perfect project for the confident beginner.  Straightforward  garter stitch makes for a meditative and quick knit, with the occasional lace row thrown in to keep things interesting.  Choose uneven striping as shown, or work out your own combination of stripe widths and colors to create a wonderfully unique wrap.

The sample shown was knit in a worsted weight cotton, but it would be extra cosy and truly lovely in one of our worsted weight wools like Impromptu, Meander and Wool Mate, or did you know that you can also use fingering weight held two strands together for worsted gauge?  Try our Wagga Wagga Sock yarn held two strands together, and make the entire shawl with just one assorted color pack!

The Coffee Shop Wrap pattern is available free on the designer’s blog, or for purchase as a printable, pdf pattern without advertising (see links when you click through to Ravelry).
