Butterfly / Papillon

BY MARIN MELCHIOR

We’re simply in awe of this stunning version of the Butterfly/Papillon shawl in elann yarns, shown here knit and photographed by Raveler ocohen2.  She combined elann Pure Intonation 4-Ply in #709 Teal Greens with elann Tarantella in #510 Manhattan for this intriguing shawl design.  A fun knit for the intermediate to experienced knitter, using short rows to sculpt its gorgeous colorwork, it has been written out so most people can follow it, but it will take focus.  Ocohen2 tells us once you make one you will absolutely be asked to knit another – think of all the clever elann fingering weight yarn combinations just waiting for this fantastic design!
