Inspired by Bristol Ivy’s Winnowing, this reversible crescent shape shawlette/shawl with gentle ruffles at the bottom, is knitted in one piece from the top down, using double garter stitch. The double garter stitch is achieved by using the “double point sliding technique” alternating Strand A and Strand B, knit every row. The double garter stitch makes the fabric light, soft and puffy.

Pattern includes instructions for knitting two sizes (shawl or shawlette) using either lace or worsted weight.  Model pictured here is the shawlette version using lace weight Silken Kydd.
